Education & Training
Vanessa Rodriguez has embarked on a multifaceted educational journey that spans the realms of hospitality management and psychology which is bolstered by her specialized expertise in sex therapy. Vanessa began her educational journey with the completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Event Management from the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management in 2012.
Between 2020 and 2022, Vanessa committed herself to the pursuit of a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. This intensive academic endeavor empowered her with an in-depth grasp of psychological principles, therapeutic methodologies, and interventions crucial for navigating the intricacies of human relationships. Vanessa found her love for couples and sex therapy here simultaneously receiving her AASECT certification in Sex Therapy before her completion of her degree.
Currently, Vanessa is completing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, at the same school where she received her Master’s. Vanessa has had the opportunity to be an adjunct professor here teaching master’s level students in the courses of Group Therapy, Psychopathology and Sexual Issues. Vanessa started with Downtown Mind Wellness in August of 2023.
