N Nikki Guzofsky, MFT.
So much of life is about relationships. This begins with the relationship with oneself, which is the foundation upon which people thrive. I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the crux of self-discovery and personal growth, and through this connection, individuals begin to develop a greater understanding of themselves, their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, motivations and desires. This translates into a more empowered sense of self, improved relations with others, and ultimately a better quality of life. I am constantly inspired by people’s resilience and their will to overcome adversity. We all experience pain and trauma that can make life or certain situations more challenging. It takes courage to seek help to navigate life’s obstacles, and doing so ideally leads to a rewarding experience and a more enriched, fulfilled life. I help individuals make meaning of their experience and integrate the various parts of their identity to transcend beyond existing to thriving.
