I love how our current use of the term “therapy” derives from the Greek word, therapeia, meaning healing. We all might have different reasons to seek out healing, but sometimes we encounter something more than curative when we finally find a safe, welcoming environment to open up and explore ourselves; what we might find are uncharted avenues, patterns, and templates for living that take us on a journey closer to wholeness. I believe these journeys are best accompanied by someone who can actively listen and tune in to the narrative of your unfolding thoughts and feelings, all the while encouraging you to probe deeper and discover more about your own experiences with yourself, others, and the world around you. As someone who also deeply admires Viktor Frankl’s work with logotherapy, I’m very interested in the meanings and purposes that drive us forward, particularly the ones that seem to be found outside of ourselves. I myself find great meaning in this work and I look forward to journeying with you towards whatever form of healing you’d like to pursue.
